We Are
Bartali - Youth in Movement (NGO) is a first of its kind social and educational Israeli youth organization.
Inspired by the incredible story of Gino Bartali, we are building a youth movement, of youth-in-movement, that leverages the unique passion of youth for cycling and outdoors adventures, as a tool to develop resilience and social responsibility and to create connections between youth from all walks of Israeli society.
Our Program
Bartali - Youth in Movement is building a nationwide network of cycling centers for youth in boarding facilities, youth villages and community centers all over Israel.
Participants take part in an annual program, which focuses on riding skills as a tool for personal and social growth.
This involves training for a series of annual peak events, in which participants meet their peers from the organization’s other cycling centers. They ride together and enjoy all of the significant experiences that the outdoors has to offer as a significant tool for creating strong social bonds.

ברטלי היה אחד האלופים הגדולים בהיסטוריה של ענף מרוצי האופניים. אבל סיפורו חייו גדול בהרבה מהספורט.

Riding the path of Gino Bartali
Bartali - Youth in Movement is dedicated to the commemoration of Gino Bartali, the Italian cycling legend who never told anyone about his heroic deeds to help save the lives of hundreds of Jews during the Holocaust.
Bartali was one of the greatest champions in cycling history, but the story of his life is much larger than the sport.
This is a story about heroism, humaneness and modesty.
